Blind Care Foundation, a Michigan non-profit inclusive digital transformation IT systems company and a leading outsourced provider of talented diversified IT professionals, is currently searching a motivated and career-minded individual to join our team as an IT Support Specialist at our Livonia office in Southeastern Michigan. We are looking for the following characteristics / skills: Provide IT support to a designated territory and respond to all customer IT hardware and software service requests within that territory while developing and maintaining a trusting relationship with the clients. As an IT Support Specialist, you will also provide technical assistance within our IT department with our hardware and software support requests as well as assist in various special projects. We are looking for an individual who can use their analytical and problem-solving skills while providing exceptional internal and external customer service. Candidate must be open to travel to our clients' sites, industry events and trade shows as needed. Responsibilities : Function as the first-level contact for all Information Technology Help Desk issues received via our Ticket System. Troubleshoot IT-related issues using best practices, internal tools, standard troubleshooting techniques and external resources. Provide in-depth communication when working on IT-related tickets between you, IT personnel and any other persons involved for each ticket. Upon escalation, work with Tier 2 support to learn further troubleshooting and resolution techniques. Recommend modifications to IT Support procedures in order to enhance the service provided by the department Qualifications : The qualified candidate will possess a minimum education of no less than a 4-year degree and 1-2 years of on-the-job experience in a related field Organization, strong written and verbal communication skills, a high level of detail, and the ability to develop lasting professional relationships will be favorably considered. The successful candidate must be a strong team player, with a full understanding of confidentiality agreements and proprietary information. Requirements:A 4-year degree or equivalent required At least two years of experience as an IT Support Specialist or Technical Support Specialist in a large professional services environment preferred. Ability to provide after-hours and weekend on-call support. Knowledge of computer network hardware, software and peripherals. Strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to provide exceptional internal and external communication. Shows initiative, motivation and can work independently, or as a team member, to resolve problems.
