Job Title: IT Support Specialist
Reporting to: IT Help Desk & Systems Administrator Manager
Duties:
* Support users (remote and on-site) with technical assistance, network connectivity, equipment diagnosis and troubleshooting of hardware and software.
* Maintain, troubleshoot, and deploy existing and new PCs and peripherals.
* Provide service and support for all IT equipment.
* Support all employees and respond to all incidents in a timely, courteous, and efficient manner in line with departmental SLAs.
* Provide training on an as-needed basis to employees.
* Participate in rotating on-call coverage during non-business hours.
* Assist in deployment of new technologies and other related tasks.
* Setup and troubleshoot mobile devices.
* Document problem details, procedures, and resolutions within ticketing system.
* Performs other duties, as assigned.
Skills needed:
* Strong experience with Windows OS and/or MacOS laptops and desktops.
* Basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
* Familiar with M365 environments. Microsoft Teams expertise is a plus.
* Excellent soft-skills, including (but not limited to) communication, teamwork, leadership, critical thinking, adaptability, and problem-solving.
* Must be a self-starter with a positive attitude.
* Experience with service ticketing system a plus. (ServiceNow, ServiceDesk Plus, ConnectWise, etc.)
This is a full-time position. The IT Support Specialist is expected to work on-site Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. Additional hours may be required to support Emergency Operations and periodic maintenance.
Applicants that pass the interview process must successfully pass the Police Department's comprehensive background investigation (including but not limited to) criminal records, civil records, MVR, employment verification, education verification, etc and post-offer drug screen.
The position is available to be filled immediately. The start date will be dependent on the successful completion of the above requirements.
