Job Title: IT Support Technician Reports to: IT Operations Manager FLSA Status: Non-ExemptSummary: We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Support Technician to join our Hoffman IT team. The ideal candidate will provide technical assistance and support to end-users, ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, software, and hardware. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.Employment at Will: Nothing herein is intended to create a contract of employment or to guarantee employment for a definite duration.Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and mobile devices.
  • Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.
  • Assist with network connectivity issues, including Wi-Fi, LAN, and VPN troubleshooting.
  • Manage user accounts and permissions in Active Directory and other systems.
  • Document and track support requests, resolutions, and follow-up actions in the ticketing system.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Provide training and guidance to end-users on best practices and IT policies.
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives as needed.
Position Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as an IT Support Technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems.
  • Familiarity with common software applications, including Microsoft Office365 Suite.
  • Basic understanding of networking principles and protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional) are a plus.
