FRDA is looking for an IT Systems Administrator to lead the management and security of our IT infrastructure. This role will focus on data management, user access, endpoint security, and regulatory compliance. You will be responsible for configuring, maintaining, and securing our systems to support efficient operations and safeguard against threats. This position is located in Arlington, VA. Key Responsibilities:
- Data Storage & Archive Management:
- Manage historical user accounts for legal retention.
- Configure and optimize local Storage Area Network (SAN).
- Ensure data organization and retention for compliance.
- Cloud Security & Windows Defender:
- Configure and monitor Windows Defender in M365.
- Implement proactive cloud security measures.
- User Access & Account Management:
- Clean up external and inactive user accounts.
- Enforce Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all users.
- Restrict SharePoint site/group creation to admins.
- Regulatory Compliance (GCC):
- Ensure compliance with GCC data standards.
- Submit compliance reports to Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS).
- Endpoint Security & Device Management:
- Oversee Mobile Device Management (MDM) for Apple and other devices.
- Implement secure VPN access and internet use policies.
- Manage Acceptable Use Policies and user compliance.
- Cybersecurity Awareness & Training:
- Develop and deliver cybersecurity training programs.
- Implement regular password updates for network security.
- Network Infrastructure Administration:
- Manage local area network (LAN) routing and switching.
- Document and maintain network topology for troubleshooting.
- Physical Security & Remote Management:
- Integrate physical security systems for remote access.
- Collaborate with security teams on digital and physical security protocols.
- IT Procurement, Compliance, & Cyber Insurance:
- Manage IT asset procurement, configuration, and compliance.
- Maintain and assess cyber insurance policies for protection against data breaches.
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of relevant experience
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as an IT Systems Administrator, with a focus on network and endpoint security.
- Familiarity with M365, Windows Defender, MDM solutions, VPNs and Secure Data-in-Transit configurations, and GCC compliance standards.
- Experience with LAN management, including routing and switching protocols.
- Strong organizational skills, especially in documentation and access management.
- US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance
