Install and troubleshoot new and existing server systems and work with vendors to resolve network and software issues. Administrator helps non-technical individuals understand and use equipment, software, and has good interpersonal skills. The System Administrator works with IT staff and employees to maintain a safe and secure computer environment and keep systems fully operational, which leads to great customer service and personal satisfaction.The Systems Administrator will be responsible for all aspects of server management (physical/virtual), VMWare management, Active Directory administration (GPO/accounts), Microsoft M365 administration (Exchange/SharePoint/Teams/PowerBI). Maintain user account/access rights, system anti-virus software, backup and recovery procedures. The Systems Administrator will respond to any maintenance requests regarding systems issues. Troubleshooting, resolving problems, coordinating installations and software updates across all Systems. Make routine repairs to Server /Computer hardware, apply software patches/updates, and determine the best solution to protect against cyber-attacks and data security. Responsible for maintaining and writing documentations for systems and processes. Candidates must be willing to learn additional skills/software to support legacy systems and new technologies. The objective of this position is to support operations and office staff through the deployment/maintenance of reliable information infrastructure that allow users too quickly and easily access system/network resources.Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for maintaining Active Directory accounts, including but not limited to new account creation, user terminations, user changes and managing contractor accounts.
- Supports the business by monitoring and reviewing Microsoft Defender quarantine / Abnormal Securities requests and responds as necessary.
- Supports, manages, and troubleshoots the Microsoft Exchange environment, including shared mailboxes, distribution lists, and any Tenant issues that may arise.
- Support company's Cyber Security Initiatives, including maintaining and learning new security tools, user training and respond to any cyber security threats.
- Assist in managing company's reporting systems, including Business View and Crystal Reports.
- Maintains vendor relationships, including purchasing and fulfilling licensing requests.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to technical difficulties with company's PCs prep/imaging/configuration for users and Help Desk Admins.
- Provide next level support for Help Desk and user inquiries.
- Provide support for company applications as directed by management.
- Seeks and receives training to provide Infrastructure support.
- Communicates effectively with a wide variety of people and personalities during the completion of his/her work. Demonstrates professionalism in his/her interactions with end-users. Can gain an understanding of the need of the department/facility and acts in an appropriate direction to find a suitable solution.
- Is detail-oriented in his/her work and documents policies and procedures related to the server and network infrastructure.
- Performs other duties or special projects as assigned.
- Ability to complete multiple simultaneous projects in a timely manner.
- Exercises independent judgment to solve problems and prioritize work.
- Provides trend analysis of information to Management.
- Acts as an informed team member providing project direction, evaluation, and recommendations to leadership. Works independently and actively initiates coordination with others to solve in-depth problems.
RequirementsQualifications:Technical Skills
- Strong Knowledge of Operating Systems (Windows, Linux)
- Proficient experience managing Windows Server (Windows Server 2012 R2 - 2022)
- Proven experience managing Active Directory (users, computers, groups, OUs) / knowledge of other directory services is a plus (eDir)
- Experience with Networking Technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Experience with SQL Servers and Web Servers (IIS / SQL)
- Familiarity with Cloud Technologies and SaaS application (AWS, Azure)
- Experience with managing M365 & Exchange Services (M365 Mailbox, IntraID, MS Defender)
- Proficiency in Systems Security (Intrusion detection, Endpoint security, Systems backup/recovery)
- Experience with System Updates / Patching

Education / Training: Minimum:
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science or a related field.
- 7- 10 years' experience minimum
