TPI is seeking a Systems Administrator for our Des Moines, IA location. Position Summary: The Systems Administrator is responsible for the operation and maintenance of server hardware, system software, and the related infrastructure. This role ensures that hardware, operating systems, software systems, and Line of Business Applications adhere to organizational values of security and cost-effectiveness while providing value to our customers. The Systems Administrator will also work with the Support Technicians to troubleshoot and resolve issues reported to the Helpdesk. The pay range for this position is $65,000-$85,000 annually. Compensation is dependent on experience. Essential Functions
- Server Administration: Manage, maintain, upgrade, and patch physical and virtual servers, operating systems, and Line of Business Applications.
- Monitor system performance and resource utilization to proactively avoid performance issues.
- Provide technical support and assistance to the Support Desk.
- Security and Compliance: Follow and enforce server and share access policies.
- Maintain configuration documentation, procedures, and best practices.
Requirements
- Associate's degree in Information Technology or equivalent work experience.
- Experience with Windows Server administration and Active Directory administration.
- Experience with Apple Mac administration (preferred).
- Experience with VMWare Virtualization (preferred).
- Excellent organizational and project coordination skills with strong quality focus and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines while maintaining high efficiency.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and adjusting to changing priorities.
- Team player with excellent communication skills
Preferred Education and Experience
- 2 year degree in related field preferred.
- 5 years related experience.
Physical Demands: This position requires a variation of frequent sitting, standing, and walking throughout the day with occasional bending and squatting required to work on equipment. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Continuous vision required for detailed work. Frequent hand/wrist/finger movement for computer work. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position. Typical hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., but the schedule varies and requires flexibility to work as needed in the evenings and weekends. Typically 40 hours per week. Travel: Some travel may be required to TPI's other offices in the US. This travel would be no more than once per quarter.
