Job Summary: The System Administrator IV is a senior-level technical professional tasked with managing, maintaining, and optimizing the organization's IT infrastructure to ensure high performance, security, and availability. As a key member of the IT team in a healthcare organization, this role supports critical systems that directly contribute to improved patient care and operational efficiency. The System Administrator IV serves as a leader for complex projects, a resource for troubleshooting advanced technical issues, and a mentor to junior IT staff. Primary responsibilities include overseeing the installation, configuration, and maintenance of servers, workstations, and virtualization platforms such as Hyper-V and Azure. The role involves managing cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), implementing system updates to maintain security compliance, and designing robust IT infrastructure aligned with organizational goals. Expertise in enterprise storage systems, backup solutions, and disaster recovery processes is essential, along with the ability to develop and maintain detailed documentation. This position collaborates closely with the Information Security Manager to enforce security protocols, manage firewalls, perform compliance audits, and address vulnerabilities. As a project leader, the System Administrator IV drives the delivery of IT infrastructure projects, assesses and integrates new technologies, and recommends system upgrades to enhance efficiency. Additionally, the role entails resolving complex technical issues, performing root cause analysis, and ensuring minimal downtime across systems. A critical aspect of this role is mentorship, where the System Administrator IV trains and supports IT staff, facilitates professional development, and conducts end-user training.
