About the Role
As an IT Systems Engineer II, you will provide Tier 2 technical support, manage escalated issues, and assist with complex IT environments. You'll be instrumental in ensuring smooth operations for clients across industries by handling everything from troubleshooting to system administration and hardware deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Resolve complex technical issues including DNS, VPN configurations, application integrations, and database-related problems.
- Network Support: Address connectivity problems, configure firewalls, switches, and wireless access points.
- Server Administration: Perform maintenance, configuration, and administration tasks for client servers.
- End-User Support: Provide training and guidance to end-users on software and system optimization.
- Incident Management: Oversee incidents from initiation to resolution, ensuring client satisfaction and timely solutions.
- Hardware Deployment: Install and configure workstations, peripherals, and network devices.
- Documentation: Contribute to and maintain technical documentation and the knowledge base.
What We're Looking For
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, Teams, Exchange Online, Intune, etc.).
- Knowledge of networking protocols and equipment (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, firewalls, and switches).
- Experience with server maintenance and administration.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.
- Experience:
- 4+ years of technical support experience, preferably in an MSP environment.
- 4+ years of client-facing customer service experience.
- Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and efficiently.
