IT Systems Engineer with SCADA/PLC systems background required.Location: Philadelphia, PA (hybrid) Duration: 12 months+ contract Rate: Based on ExperienceDescription: We are seeking a highly skilled IT Systems Engineer with a strong background in Control Systems (SCADA/PLC) to support our critical Positive Train Control (PTC), ET-SCADA, and Train Dispatch systems. This is a 12+ month contract position with a hybrid work model based in Philadelphia, PA.Responsibilities:* Systems Administration: o Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers supporting PTC, ET-SCADA, and Train Dispatch systems. o Configure and troubleshoot network devices (switches, routers, firewalls) to ensure optimal system performance and security. o Implement and maintain system security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls. o Monitor system performance and proactively address potential issues to minimize downtime. * Control Systems Integration: o Collaborate with engineers and technicians to integrate IT systems with SCADA and PLC systems. o Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to system integration and performance. o Configure and maintain SCADA and PLC systems, including data acquisition and control logic. * Project Support: o Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and new system implementations. o Develop and document system procedures and standards. o Provide technical support for system users, including training and troubleshooting. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. * 5+ years of experience in IT systems administration, with a focus on Windows and Linux servers. * Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP. * Experience with SCADA and PLC systems, preferably in a rail or transportation environment. * Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and compliance standards. * Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V). * Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell). * Certification in relevant technologies (e.g., Microsoft, Linux, Cisco, CompTIA).#techjobs #LI-SK1
