Job Description: The IT Support Specialist # Level I is the initial point of contact for technology related incidents and service requests. Individuals in this role provide hardware and software support and training to hospital system users. The IT Support Specialist supports the hospital#s policies regarding proper information system usage, system security and software license compliance and participates in IT-related projects. IT Support Specialist answers the GVMH IT Help Desk phone calls in a rotation with other Level I#IT, Support Specialists Document issues in GVMH Service Portal Ticketing System and provide guidance to end-users on using the ticketing system, Sets up and install in an optimal manner new or upgraded PCs, laptops, tablets, printer, and peripheral devices as required Maintain technology documentation for the support function, Ensures relevant procedure manuals are current, edits and prepares new procedures and reviews all procedures on an annual basis, and Assists with new employee orientation IT training. The following skills are required of an individual assigned to this classification: Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate with staff at all levels PC troubleshooting Endpoint connectivity troubleshooting General networking knowledge General network security knowledge Support remote staff Citrix/VPN issues Experience with resolving printer, scanner, fax, telephone#and other miscellaneous peripheral#issues Education/Credentials: High school diploma required (GED); associate#s degree preferred. Experience: Proven experience supporting desktops and peripherals 1-3 years of IT support experience Microsoft Office Solutions certification, Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate: Windows or CompTia A+ Certification is a plus Starting Range:#$18.29-$22.86 Our competitive salary package is adjusted to align with the candidate#s relevant experience and skills.
