Job Title: Dart IT Specialist

Summary:

The IT Specialist is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing the Drug Abuse and Research Treatment (DART) programs IT infrastructure. The specialist will ensure the smooth operation of hardware, software, networks, and other technology systems, and provide essential support to all departments within the DART program. Familiarity with medical facilities and patient confidentiality is essential. They will work closely with the Chief Clinical Officer and IT department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide timely and effective technical assistance to employees experiencing hardware, software, or network issues. Troubleshoot problems, diagnose issues, and implement solutions to maintain productivity.
  • System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance tasks, including updates, patches, and backups, to ensure stability and security of IT systems. Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.
  • Hardware and Software Management: Install, configure, and maintain hardware components. Manage software updates on all devices.
  • Network Administration: Manage and administer DART network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and implement security measures to protect against cyber threats.
  • Information Security: Implement and enforce security protocols to safeguard sensitive information and prevent unauthorized access. Conduct regular security audits, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend solutions to mitigate risk. Develop training sessions on IT best practices, security protocols, and new technologies.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Work with all aspects related to EMR, including entry of forms, scheduling updates, and maintenance of peripherals (IVEK machines, printers, etc.).
  • Collaborate with the security vendor and provide assistance as needed re:
    • Building access fobs
    • Surveillance cameras
  • Inspect all electronic equipment, pumps, etc., and maintain a log.
  • Develop, implement, and support procedures and equipment for Telehealth Services.
  • Ensure physical/digital data security policies are followed.

Qualifications:

  • Requirement: Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or network management.
  • A bachelors degree or certificate in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Strong knowledge of operating systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with users at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working in the healthcare field/HIPAA Compliant environment is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift and carry in excess of 50 lbs.
  • Must be comfortable on a step ladder.
  • Must have personal vehicle.
  • The DART Clinic is a year round, 7 day/week clinic. On call is required.

Compensation details: 55000-60000 Yearly Salary
