Job Description: The primary responsibility of the IT Technician is to provide technical and analytical support to software users. The IT Technician will manage, maintain, and troubleshoot information system technologies, including software, security and device monitoring for employees. The IT Technician primary focus shall include but not limited to:
- Provide full life-cycle user provisioning and administration for all operational/IT products.
- Troubleshoot issues on software interfaces and ensure department support cases are effectively resolved in timely manner.
- Provide first point of contact and day-to-day technical support.
- Follow up with users to ensure full resolution of issues.
- Deploy, install, and manage computers and other devices in accordance with corporate standards.
- Provide initial equipment and software orientation and guidance to new hires.
- Ensure security and privacy of networks and computer systems
- As required, work closely with managed service provider supporting remote sites.
- Work IT projects as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications - A bachelor's degree in computer science or related technical field is preferred.
- Recently obtained cybersecurity or IT related certifications a plus!
- 1-3 years of relevant experience in a customer-focused position involving technical knowledge of a company products and services.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: - Strong technical ability
- Extensive experience working with different operating systems including Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Windows, and Azure.
- Knowledge of software programs, such as but not limited to Microsoft Suite, Salesforce, Okta, VOIP platforms, and Property Management Systems.
- Ability to accept constructive criticism and feedback regarding their experience with software or IT services
- Demonstrate excellent computer skills, verbal, math, and reasoning skills
- Possess effective time management skills and attention to detail
- Possess exceptional follow-up habits
- Knowledge of business practices and principles
- Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks efficiently.
- Understand sense of urgency
- Ability to cope with stress in a composed manner
- Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
