Job Description:

We seek someone to help maintain Kingsmill's computer and network systems through troubleshooting and diagnosing computer hardware and software issues, setting up computer networks, and assisting employees and customers with IT-related problems. The ideal candidate will possess sound technical knowledge to understand and relay effective problem-solving solutions. Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serving as the first point of contact for IT support within the organization
  • Use of IT trouble ticket system, Request Tracker (RT), to address IT-related service requests from ticket creation through completion
  • Escalate trouble issues to appropriate next-tier support vendors or internal support staff to resolve them cooperatively and efficiently.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems
  • Repairing and replacing damaged computer and network components
  • Maintain and deployment of Point of Sale (POS) workstations.
  • Ensuring the security of client and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software
  • Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices
  • Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly
  • Testing new hardware and software before full-scale installation
  • Other Duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Proven work experience in IT support or IT technician roles
  • IT Technician Certification or equivalent work experience
  • Demonstrated knowledge of information technology troubleshooting tools
  • Problem-solving skills and technical documentation skills
  • In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems and networks
  • Practical experience with Internet and network security protocols
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Command of the English language is required.
  • The position requires a flexible work schedule, including evenings, early mornings, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate.
  • Must have a professional presentation and strong customer service skills
  • Must have proven job stability through a solid work history
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • OPERA Property Management Solutions (PMS) system experience preferred.
  • EZSuite Point of Sale (POS) system experience preferred.
