Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Part-Time IT Support Technician to perform a variety of IT related functions as as the ability to install, support, troubleshoot, and repair computers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Repair, build, upgrade, configure, and move workstations.
  • Identify and remove malicious software from computers.
  • Install and troubleshoot Windows operating systems and PC software (Office, Sage CRE, Timberscan, Antivirus, Adobe, Citrix).
  • Travel to remote locations or provide remote support to resolve computer issues.
  • Provide after-hours on-call backup support for emergency desktop, server, and network issues.
  • Reset Active Directory passwords and unlock user accounts.
  • Review tickets and alerts from Enterprise Integration (MSP) and assist in resolution.
  • Setup and configure mobile devices (phones, tablets, aircards).
  • Create and manage email accounts, distribution lists, and group mailboxes in MS Exchange.
  • Work with software and hardware manufacturers to find break/fix solutions.
  • Review spam mail filters, backup settings, and firmware updates.
  • Update phone and auto attendant information, reset voicemail passwords, and update address books.
  • Build and update computer images.
  • Research solutions to non-standard issues.
  • Assist with scheduling and hosting web conferences.
  • Schedule and repair printers under maintenance contracts.
  • Maintain accurate records of IT-related equipment and update accordingly.
  • Update and maintain the company website.
  • Assist with installation and upgrades to computers, servers, networks, and phones.
  • Create and present IT-related training for employees. Schedule Cybersecurity training.
  • Handle issues with local wireless and wide area network providers.
  • Create/modify scripts for logon or user customization.
  • Assist with setup of jobsite office, internet, and phone requirements.
  • Maintain and rotate backup tapes for offsite storage.
  • Keep accurate records of requests and solutions provided.
  • Work Closely with IT members.
Required Qualifications and Experience:Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a similar role.Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and common PC software. Experience with Active Directory, MS Exchange, and remote support tools.Certifications: CompTIA A+, Network+, or similar certifications are preferred. Knowledge of Network & Security Protocols. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
