About us Role Purpose Statement
As the Vendor and License Manager you will be overseeing Sky Chefs' relationships with vendors and managing software licenses. The role is crucial in ensuring compliance with software agreements, optimizing license usage, and maintaining effective partnerships with vendors.
Main Accountabilities• Manage the lifecycle of vendor relationships and software licenses, ensuring compliance with legal, financial, and organizational requirements. This role involves negotiating contracts, optimizing license usage, and managing vendor performance to support business operations efficiently.
Vendor/Contract Management • Serve as the primary point of contact between internal IT teams and external vendors for contract-related matters. • Identify, evaluate, and onboard vendors for software and hardware solutions. • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key vendors and service providers. • Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, ensuring contractual obligations are met. • Partner with procurement to negotiate contracts, pricing, service level agreements (SLAs), and terms with vendors. • Track vendor performance against agreed-upon service metrics, addressing any service issues or non-compliance. • Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of vendor performance and contracts.
License Management • Maintain an inventory of all software licenses and related documentation. • Ensure compliance with software licensing agreements and policies. • Monitor software usage and optimize license allocations to reduce costs and improve efficiency. • Coordinate with internal teams to assess software needs and ensure that licensing is aligned with business goals. • Conduct audits of license usage and address any compliance issues with vendors or internally. • Identify risks associated with vendor relationships and software licensing, implementing strategies to mitigate those risks. • Stay updated on market trends and changes in software licensing models that may impact the business. • Collaborate with IT and procurement teams to forecast licensing needs and budget for software purchases. • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on vendor performance, licensing status, and cost-saving opportunities.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. • Proven experience as a contract manager with a focus on IT contracts. • Strong understanding of IT systems, software licensing, cloud services, and related technologies. • Familiarity with IT governance frameworks such as ITIL, COBIT, and ISO standards. • Knowledge of data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and IT-specific regulatory requirements. • Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
