Purpose of the Position
The purpose of the ITS Project Manager role is to be the point of contact and coordinator on Information Technology projects and/or IT aspects of university projects, primarily associated with construction/renovation projects. Position reports to the Director of Infrastructure and Operations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are customary for this position but not construed as all-inclusive. The addition and deletion of duties assigned are at management's discretion and according to institutional needs.
+ Schedule and meet with project stakeholders and develop a project plan to meet their needs.
+ Track project progress and work to keep projects on schedule.
+ Facilitate communication among relevant ITS groups.
+ Provide project oversight and documentation including financials.
+ Communicate project status with stakeholders and ITS management.
+ Coordination with WKU and non-WKU construction-related personnel to be an advocate for WKU-ITS and client/occupant technology needs.
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
+ Work with ITS administration to identify areas and/or personnel to be assigned to projects.
+ Provides training for the use of and oversight for change management of ITS' PPM software.
+ Other duties as needed.
Knowledge and Skills and Abilities
+ Highly organized, motivated, willing to learn new skills.
+ Advanced communication and customer service skills.
+ Proficiency with office, documentation, and drawing applications such as but not exclusive to MS Word, MS Excel, MS Visio, AutoCad.
+ Familiarity with project management concepts.
+ Knowledge of IT functions. Examples could include, but are not limited to, data networking, communications cabling, audiovisual systems, etc.
Job Requirements:
+ Bachelor's degree.
+ At least 1 year of relevant experience.
+ Ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of this position following the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, accountability, responsibility, cooperation, and customer service.
Additional Information:
Salary Range: $46,100 - $54,175
