DescriptionPosition: JanitorReports to: Director of FacilitiesShift(s):2nd Shift 3:00pm - 11:30pmDuties and Responsibilities:Advocates for the mission of the organization and promotes and upholds the agency's values.Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities.Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects.Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs.Make adjustments and minor repairs.Stock and maintain supply rooms.Cooperate with the rest of the staff.Follow all health and safety regulations.RequirementsExperience and Education:High school degree1-2 years Janitorial experience.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Proven working experience as a janitor.Ability to handle heavy equipment and machinery.Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies.Familiarity with Material Safety Data Sheets.Integrity and ability to work independently.Physical Demands and Work Environment:Physical demands: Standing, walking, lifting up to 20 pounds, reaching, carrying, speaking, listening.Work Environment: An environment of high stress and fast pace of crisis intervention.
