As the largest nonprofit affordable housing provider in the nation, we build, preserve, and manage program-enriched housing across the country.The successful Janitor will be a team member who provides clean affordable housing to the residents of the community. The Janitor will work with maintenance staff to coordinate a cleaning schedule.We encourage candidates with lived experience to apply. This is an on-site position.Mercy North Auburn is a 78-unit, affordable community in Auburn, CA for area families and individuals who have experienced homelessness.Pay: $20.00/hour15 days of earned PTO your first year, 12 company holidays + 2 floating holidays.Early close Fridays - 3 paid hours off early each Friday.Health, dental (adult and child orthodontia included), vision, and pet insurance.Employer paid life insurance.Quarterly bonus pay to on-site staff.403b + match, paid volunteer time, and more.Duties:Cleans and maintains entry lobby, including cleaning of windows, doors, mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, etc., at least daily, and more if necessary, to maintain excellent entrance appeal.Cleans laundry room, community room, conference room, and management offices on a daily basis.Vacuums hallways on a daily basis.Cleans community bathrooms on a daily basis, more if necessary, to maintain in a sanitary manner.Preferred Qualifications:Two (2) years experience.We make decisions and take action on our core values of Mercy, Justice, and Respect every day.
