Summary:
To perform housekeeping and janitorial services at assigned buildings to keep facilities in clean and orderly condition.
Essential Functions:
* Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them.
* Gather and empty trash.
* Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
* Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
* Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
* Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
* Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
* Steam-clean or shampoo carpets as assigned.
* Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors as assigned.
* Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
* Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
* Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, either manually or by using hand trucks as needed.
* Requisition supplies and equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties as needed.
* Conduct one's self in a professional manner as an employee of The Arc GLOW.
* Other duties as assigned

* Reports to: Assistant Business Services Manager - South
* Business Services Manager - North

Physical Requirements:
* Ability to stand for extended periods of time, as well as to sit, stand and stoop
* Able to safely lift up to 50 pounds
* Ability to operate all janitorial maintenance equipment including: auto-scrubber, buffer, mop, vacuum etc.
Working Conditions:
* Frequent travel to other sites
* Varied work locations depending on the needs of the work site
* Occasional dirty, dusty, and contaminated environments.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Cleaning experience helpful
