DescriptionJob Summary: Seeking responsible and motivated individual who is-ready to take on the challenge of becoming part of the Commissary team as a Janitor for Camp Pendleton Commissary serving military families. Performs a full range of cleaning tasks involved in the maintenance of designated areas of the Commissary on the military installation. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - Clean and service private restrooms, lunchrooms, interior inspection booths, and offices in all departments to keep them presentable.
- Dust mop all designated areas. Spot clean as necessary. Collect and dispose of all solid waste. Vacuum all carpeted areas. Dust all furniture. Clean all interior and exterior glass. Replenish all supplies as necessary. Police all designated areas.
- Maintain custodian closets to ensure accessibility of necessary supplies.
- Return all supplies and equipment to their proper places. Inform supervisor and/or a project manager of low supplies and equipment that is not working properly.
- Follow and use proper safety precautions.
- Attend mandatory monthly safety meetings.
- Must Be Able to Pass DBIDS Background check By Camp Pendleton Base Access.

- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must initially pass the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS), and yearly review thereafter. To be able to gain access to Department of Defense installation.
- Language Skills: ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and other staff members.
