POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the maintenance, upkeep and fulfillment of the janitorial job assigned.EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:• Some experience requiredQUALIFICATIONS / SPECIFIC SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE:
- Must be able to follow verbal instructions
- Must communicate well with coworkers and customers
- Must be able to safely lift and carry 50 pounds independently
- Maneuver janitorial equipment adequately and safely
- Must have good vision and use of hands
- Stooping and bending required
- Some weekend work required
- Must be dependable in terms of daily attendance and punctuality.
- Standing/walking for extended periods of time
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:(E) - Essential function of job duties
- Must be willing and able to travel to locations in Abilene utilizing own vehicle (E)
- Basic janitorial duties to include vacuuming, mopping, cleaning, trash collection, dusting, windows, etc. (E)
- Ensure equipment and supplies are stocked appropriately with toilet paper, paper towels, soap, etc. (E)
- Responsible for operating and general maintenance of janitorial equipment (E)
- Available for evening hours and occasional weekends
- Communicate appropriately with coworkers and others
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor
