Our challenge
We are looking for a highly skilled and driven Lead Java Developer with over 10 years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in software development, particularly within the banking, investment banking, or credit card industry sectors. The role requires a deep understanding of credit card/payment industries or similar and the ability to lead and mentor a development team, while ensuring high-quality, scalable, and efficient code. Strong expertise in Java development, coupled with a strong background in financial services, is essential for success in this position.
The Role

- 10+ Years of strong Java fundamentals Experience
- A candidate must be hands on senior engineer who will be able to lead the team and will coordinate with offshore team members.
- Should have good communication skills as he will be interacting with business and product teams very often.
- Should be proactive and be ready to take more responsibilities.
- Should have a positive attitude and aptitude.
- Should be able to lead the team of 10+ people at onshore/offshore.
- Should be able to identify project risks, keep all the stakeholders in the loop in timely manner

- Team Leadership: Lead a team of 10+ developers, both onshore and offshore, ensuring smooth coordination and delivery of project milestones. Act as the point of contact for technical guidance and problem-solving.
- Stakeholder Communication: Regularly interact with business and product teams to understand requirements, provide progress updates, and ensure that the development process aligns with business needs.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks to the project early on, assess their impact, and communicate them promptly to all relevant stakeholders. Take proactive steps to mitigate risks and ensure project delivery stays on track.
- Technical Expertise: Provide hands-on technical leadership in Java development, ensuring best practices, code quality, and performance standards are met. Lead by example in writing efficient, scalable, and maintainable code.
- Mentoring & Coaching: Mentor junior developers, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles. Foster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment to ensure the team remains at the forefront of industry practices.
- Coordination & Collaboration: Work closely with both onshore and offshore teams, ensuring seamless communication, collaboration, and timely delivery of project components.
- Project Ownership: Take ownership of end-to-end project delivery, from technical design to implementation, testing, and deployment. Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet the required quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Encourage and implement process improvements to enhance team productivity, reduce technical debt, and ensure long-term success for the development team.
