Job Description: The Java Production Support Engineer will be responsible for providing tier-2/3 support for Java-based production applications, responding to incidents and service requests in a timely manner. Duties include collaborating closely with development teams, performing root cause analysis on production incidents, monitoring application performance, and ensuring system security. This role also involves deploying application releases and updates in production environments, developing and maintaining technical documentation, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and compatibility of new and existing systems. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 1-3 years of experience in production support, including experience with Java-based applications. Skills: Proficient in Java programming and troubleshooting Java applications. Strong understanding of Java, J2EE, Spring Framework, and related technologies. Knowledge of SQL and relational databases. Experience with application servers like Tomcat, WebLogic, or JBoss. Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments and shell scripting. Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Personal Attributes: Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Willingness to be on-call outside of regular business hours to address critical production issues.
