As SOLR Developer in the Global Communications and Marketing (GCM) Solutions team, the consultants will be responsible for creating templates and components and delivering which is a preparatory work for migrating to AEM from SiteCore for Micron.com. These 2 developers will work as an Integrated Micron team by working on POCs to baseline and visualize the requirements for migration to Micron.com. This role requires an in-depth understanding of the Micron's Global Communications and Marketing solutions landscape, applying systems thinking to pre-empt unwanted consequences and identify the quick wins. The candidate should possess the command skills needed to socialize these solutions throughout the supply chain organization and get leadership consensus and should be able to orchestrate the implementation of system capabilities and provide the leadership vital to see solutions through to delivery. Primary Responsibilities
  • Analyze and define Functional requirements of the user story (requirements) and acceptance criteria.
  • Must have experience on SOLR and JAVA
  • Complete executive Summary documents participate in Code reviews changes and coordinate deployment.
  • Support Operational reporting requirements coming from the Singapore team and quickly deliver them.
  • Learn how Micron's customers use the data today with the goal of improving the user experience and developing a good understanding of how the feedback loops work with key customers by building positive relationships
  • Collaborate with business team members and other developers to ensure that the solution is meeting the business needs.
  • Drive effective agile project management through active engagement in the Scrum development process.
  • Provide hands-on demonstration of the solution and provide Functional support to key stakeholders during the testing and deployment phase.
  • Work with teams to deliver effective, high-value reporting solutions by maximizing an established delivery methodology.
Education Requirements
  • Graduate-level degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Professional Experience Required
  • The Senior SOLR Developer will play a vital role in the development, testing and deployment .
  • Will work closely with clients, developers, system administrators, project managers, business analysts and end users to build a state-of-the-art Digital .
  • Design efficient content models, security models, workflows and templates.
  • Employ strong coding standards for efficiency, readability, and reuse.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience on SOLR with JAVA skills
  • Overall, 5-8 years' experience
  • Experience with Portal or related technologies a plus
  • Experience with HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, and AJAX
  • Experience with RESTful and SOAP-based web services
  • Strong Angular.js experience or related technologies a plus
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience working with content management technologies
  • Experience in Sling, Spring and Struts Framework or other MVC frameworks.
  • Experience working with geographically separate project teams.
  • Experience with unit testing and automated testing tools
  • Experience with secure coding practices
  • Experience implementing web content management systems in a large corporate environment.
  • Experience with object-oriented design and design patterns
  • Excellent estimation abilities in scoping work in a highly complex environment
  • Experience with web and application servers, such as Apache and Tomcat
  • Exposure to open-source technologies
  • Experience building, deploying and supporting Internet-facing applications.
