Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Experience Jewelry Repair Technician. The ideal candidate will possess a strong work ethic, exceptional organizational skills, and a keen eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform basic jewelry repairs to ensure quicker turnaround times for simple repairs.
- Assist the sales team with repair intake and gold scrap testing and buying.
- Perform watch battery replacements and minor repairs with precision and efficiency.
- Clean and inspect the client's jewelry thoroughly to identify repair needs and communicate effectively with the sales staff.
- Prepare custom design estimates for the sales team by gathering detailed cost breakdowns of materials and labor.
- Manage shop inventory and order materials required for repair work, ensuring adequate stock levels and timely replenishment.
- Facilitate stone sorting and identification, ensuring proper handling and storage of precious gemstones for use in repairs and custom designs.
- Utilize engraving software to personalize new purchases and client pieces.
- Assist with end of day clean up and shop breakdown.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in jewelry repair, including polishing, soldering, and basic repairs.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage repair workflow efficiently.
- Knowledge of jewelry materials and techniques.
- Experience with watch battery replacements and minor repairs/adjustments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with sales staff and clients.
- Strongly preferred; experience working with David Geller s Blue Book repair pricing guide and Stuller.
Hours: Tuesday through Friday 9:30am to 6:30pm, Saturday 9:30am to 5:30pm.
