Mission and Main Duties Arglass is a fresh startup entering this market as a new innovative disrupter of the norm in glass manufacturing. In an industry largely focused on products that require long production runs, we offer the glass container market a superior alternative based on our three principles: Flexibility, Efficiency and Sustainability. Arglass will transform the glass container market in the United States by creating a network of next-generation manufacturing plants. Arglass plans to be the plant of choice for the spirits and beverage industries. As the first new glass plant in America in over a generation, Arglass is born to serve those customers whose needs for flexibility, efficiency and customization are not being met by legacy U.S. manufacturers or foreign glass suppliers. The plant has been designed by considering the best available proven technology and layout to provide high quality, highly flexible and efficient production. This position will perform job changes for the in-production control coordination with Forming job changes. This position will also assess the vitality of the equipment and make decisions on the needed or preventative maintenance of all machinery. Will be accountable for the job changes' effectiveness and be expected to continuously improve efficiency and flexibility.
  • Review production schedules, engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods that are applied and activities that take place in manufacturing and services
  • Figure out how to manufacture parts or products, or deliver services, with maximum efficiency
  • Develop management control systems to make financial planning and cost analysis more efficient
  • Enact quality control procedures to resolve production problems or minimize costs
  • Make recommendations for new initiatives to positively impact productivity
  • Rebuild or repair all cold end equipment
  • Modify timing, adjust settings and remove any defects prior to terminal affects.
  • Instruct or train other personnel
  • Diagnose, adjust or repair equipment as needed
  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment consistent with Arglass policies and procedures while striving for zero accidents.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship within functional area and with other departments ensuring effective and timely communication.
  • Partner with other department to resolve issue and create new solutions
  • Maintain administrative records and activities
  • Control cost and remain on budget
  • Train and develop other personnel
  • Help create a dynamic, results-oriented and fulfilling company culture based on teamwork
  • Promote Arglass' culture of Flexibility, Efficiency and Sustainability in all areas of the company

Position Requirements Professional Background / Education
  • Bachelor of Science in a related Engineering field of study or equivalent work experience
  • Knowledge of the methods and quality standards for glass container making

Minimum Relevant Job Experience
  • Preferred 5 years' experience working in glass container manufacturing.
Language Skills
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Fluency in Spanish preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to traverse steps without assistance.
  • Must be able to verbally communicate in potentially loud environments
  • Ability to tolerate extreme temperature conditions
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs unassisted.
  • Vision: Must be able to make visual recognition of the working environment.
  • Environment: Exposures encountered such as: hazardous materials, loud noise, and extreme heat.
  • Hearing: Must be able to hear team members, alarms, mechanical sounds, and sounds of personnel distress
  • Essential physical requirements such as climbing, bending, reaching, standing, stooping or typing.
  • Standing and walking throughout a 12-hour shift.
