Job Description:
Job Title: GIS Analyst (Hybrid) Work Location: 10 Peachtree Place in Atlanta, GA Duration: 24 monthsPosition Overview: The GIS Analyst will develop expertise in understanding the current data environment, workflows, and processes, and will create solutions for data integration, transformation, and delivery. This role includes GIS data analysis, data mining, technical support, and database maintenance to fulfill both internal and external client needs. The position requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide recommendations for data development and processing strategies. Project responsibilities include process improvement, quality control, data creation from spatial and tabular sources, conversion, migration, and maintenance. Responsibilities:
  • Perform GIS data analysis, data mining, and technical support.
  • Maintain and manage GIS databases and related systems.
  • Develop and implement process improvements for data workflows.
  • Ensure quality control for data integration and transformation.
  • Provide support for data conversion, migration, and maintenance.
Required Qualifications:
  • Proficiency with Esri geodatabase design and management, including manipulation of tabular data and joining/linking related data.
  • Intermediate knowledge of SQL and relational database management systems.
  • Advanced understanding of Esri ArcGIS products (ArcCatalog, ArcToolbox, ArcMap, ArcSDE).
  • Experience with Python scripting and batch files for automation.
  • Ability to learn new database technologies, data modeling, and scripting as needed.
  • Advanced proficiency in Esri ArcGIS 10.2x and MS Office Suite (Access, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Intermediate proficiency in Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, geometric networks, ModelBuilder, Python, and SQL RDBMS.
  • Basic proficiency in AutoCAD/CADD, Visual Basic/VBA, and SharePoint.
  • Strong geoprocessing, spatial analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience publishing with ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and Portal for ArcGIS.
  • Knowledge of Natural Gas Utility or experience working with enterprise databases and geometric networks.
  • Proficiency in Esri Data Reviewer and Workflow Manager Extensions.
  • Experience in converting CAD data to GIS.
  • Integration of non-spatial enterprise databases with GIS for ad hoc analysis.
  • Proficiency in Python development, FME, and/or Esri ModelBuilder.
  • Understanding of document/content management applications.
  • Intermediate understanding of current GIS trends (remote sensing, GPS technology).
  • Familiarity with Schneider Electric ArcFM and FME/Data Interoperability.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Strong analytical skills for reviewing requirements and problem-solving.
  • Application testing, script development, and performance testing capabilities.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
