AW Health Care is seeking experienced and compassionate CNAs and Caregivers to join our team of professionals that provide exceptional one on one care to our clients living in their homes in South St Louis County communities. Job Summary: The CNA or Caregiver provides personal hygiene care, housekeeping, meal prep, med reminders, laundry, bed linen changes, companionship and a safe environment to clients. **Priority will be given to applicants that are skilled in transferring and lifting patients safely and have a valid driver's license, your own reliable car and car insurance. -General Availability Needed: Monday - Friday and Weekends, (2-6 hour shifts) -We require 2-3 days a week availability and every other weekend to be considered. Must have valid driver's license, your own personal, reliable vehicle with full coverage auto insurance and willing to do client transportation and errands if requested in Care plan. Must have at least 6 months or more paid work experience working with the geriatric population or similar care and responsibilities. Working with clients with Dementia and Alzheimer's, preferred. Willing to work with pets and smokers in client homes, preferred Ability to use gait belt and Hoyer Lift preferred or willingness to learn. Must maintain required yearly training/education as mandated by agency Must have moderate computer and cell phone skills. Physical Requirements: Ability to participate in physical activity. Ability to work for extended period of time while standing and being involved in physical activity. Moderate lifting. Ability to do extensive bending, lifting and standing on a regular basis.
