Key responsibilities for this role include:
* Analyze drawings and wiring diagrams to locate and install circuits and equipment and to determine materials and parts needed.
* Plan and perform work requiring knowledge of electrical principles, wiring specifications, codes and properties of various materials.
* Locate source of trouble in electrical equipment when needed, by tracing and testing circuits and inspecting for faulty operation.
* Install conduit, fittings, switches, controls and fixtures. Wire and connect all types of electrical equipment as required for new installation or replacement of facilities, per the National Electrical Code.
* Perform calibration of plant equipment, as required.
* Consider all safety precautions and the proper isolation of circuits to cause a minimum of interference to operations.
* Clean up machinery and work area after performing maintenance functions.
The minimum qualifications for this role are:
* Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent and minimum of 4 years of experience is required. However, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration.
* Must possess a minimum of a Vermont State Journeyman License. We will consider Master Electrician level depending on candidate qualifications.
* Must possess applicable knowledge of electrical testing equipment, e.g. ammeters, voltmeter, conduit-bending equipment, power hand tools and hand tools. Plant machinery and equipment, replacement parts, control cabinets, wiring, and conduit.
