JOURNEYMAN LINEMAN/WORKING FOREMAN General Summary of Position: CMELD Lineman are responsible for ensuring CMELD customers receive safe and reliable electricity in an efficient manner. CMELD Line Maintainers perform varied and responsible duties requiring a thorough knowledge of safety practices and must be able to exercise judgment and initiative in completing tasks. Work includes working on de-energized and energized lines utilizing rubber glove practices in all scenarios. Qualifications and Basic Requirements: - Candidates must be at least 18 years of age, have high school diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years of experience - Journeyman Lineman certification preferred - 2nd class welcome - Proficient in safe rubber gloving techniques - Knowledge of electric utility construction standards, National Electric Safety Code, and OSHA standards - Valid Commercial Driver's License or ability to obtain one withing 60 days of employment - Class B with Air Brakes - Ability to be available for on-call schedules and emergency call-outs - Must live within a 30-mile radius of Chester MA or be able to relocate within 6 months.
