Job Description:

Stellar is seeking Pipelayers with experience laying ductile iron/mechanical joint and CPVC/PVC to prepare and install underground pipelines. Follow specifications or blueprints to lay out pipe routes, coordinating layouts with supervisor as neededCut pipes to required lengths, prepare them for welding and sealing, and assist in alignment during pipeline constructionConnect pipe pieces and seal joints using welding equipment, cement, or glueAssemble, install, and repair underground pipe fittings and valves of various materials and sizes for storm drains or sanitation sewers, and water mainsInstall pumps, valves, sanitary and stormwater sewer structures and pipe systemsTap and drill holes into pipes to introduce auxiliary lines or devicesCheck slopes for conformance to requirements using APL, levels and lasersMeasure, cut, and leak test pipesGrade and level trench bases using tamping machines and hand toolsFollow established job-site safety and regulations and maintain a safe and clean work areaIdentify safety hazards you or other employees may be subject to and take all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazardsPerform all other job-related duties as requested by supervisorEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent5+ years of experience with at least 3 years as a JourneymanExtensive underground knowledge and experience requiredFood Processing Plant experience preferredSKILLS/ABILITIES: Ability to operate excavating equipment as well as shooting grade accurately preferredKnowledge and usage of measuring and testing devices, hand and power toolsBasic math abilitiesMechanical aptitudeAbility to read and interpret blueprintsStrong problem solving, communication and organizational skillsAbout Stellar: Stellar offers a comprehensive package which includes: Competitive pay based on experienceRemote & hybrid work options for many positionsPaid Time Off - accrue 15 days (120 hours) within first year of servicePaid holidaysMedical,dental, and vision insurance optionsTax-advantaged accounts (HSA, FSA, Dependent Care FSA)Company-paid life and disability insurance401(k) - company match with immediate vestingStellar, headquartered in Jacksonville, FL, is a fully integrated firm focusing on design, construction, architecture, engineering, and mechanical services worldwide for over 30 years.
