Job Type Full-timeDescriptionThis is a full-time, direct placement for Potter Heating & Air ConditioningAbout the Role: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our professional team and take thelead on commercial plumbing projects. The candidate will be responsible for all aspects of plumbing installation, repair, and maintenance, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This is a demanding but rewarding opportunity for a skilled journeyman plumber who thrives in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities: Install, repair, and maintain a variety of plumbing systems in commercial buildings, including, but not limited to:Sanitary waste and vent systemsWater supply systemsBackflow prevention systemsGas piping systemsFixtures and appliancesRead and interpret blueprints and specificationsLay out and fabricate piping systemsCut, thread, and join pipes using various methodsInstall and solder fittingsTest and troubleshoot plumbing systemsIdentify and repair leaksPerform preventative maintenance tasksOversee the work of your assigned team of plumbers, apprentices and helpersManage JIT delivery of materials, fixtures and components Ensure compliance with all applicable codes and regulationsMaintain accurate and complete documentationCommunicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholdersRequest, supervise and manage inspections by appropriate institutionsUphold the company's commitment to safety and qualityRequirementsExperience and Qualifications: Licensed Journeyman Plumber in the state of New York, Onondaga CountyMinimum of three years of experience in commercial plumbing as a journeymanStrong knowledge of plumbing codes and regulationsProven ability to read and interpret blueprints, SOW, contracts and specificationsExcellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong work ethic and commitment to safetyReliable transportation and valid driver's licenseMust be able to pass federal and state mandated background checksBenefits: Competitive salary and benefits packageProfit sharing incentiveOpportunity for rate workPaid time offHealth insuranceIRA contributionOpportunities for professional developmentPositive, safe and collaborative work environment
