Overview
HarperCollins Publishers is seeking a Junior Analyst for Business Process Reengineering to be part of the Strategy and Operations team, a corporate team that supports HarperCollins businesses worldwide

The job: The Junior Analyst will have three main areas of activities - all focused on co-ordinating and assisting with strategic initiatives that range across a broad set of areas:
* Business Process Reengineering
* Innovation / AI
* Strategy / Ad hoc projects
Responsibilities
Business Process Reengineering:
* Conduct employee interviews and provide analysis of business processes and identification of innovative ways to use technology and/or process change to address business needs and improvement opportunities.
* Help draft IT project requests and business requirements so that IT can articulate BRD and technical / system solutions
* Track performance against identified opportunities and KPIs (both efficiencies and growth ) in conjunction with finance
* Redesigned business processes, organizations and suggested systems
* Delivery of IT project requests and business requirements
* Delivery of cost saving/process improvement/system improvement
* Regular reporting on transformation progress
Innovation / AI
* Provide research for annual reviews of innovation trends and resulting core strategic imperatives programs, with a particular focus on AI and other emerging technologies and automations
* Participate in meetings with the business about innovation
* Support the SVP of Digital Business Development in implementing change programs.
Strategy/Ad Hoc Projects
* Provide analytical support to various strategic initiatives as identified by global CEO, CDO or individual business units.
* Ad hoc analysis and support of various strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
* Internship or college coursework in business process reengineering or process improvement roles.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex situations and develop practical solutions.
* Proficiency in process mapping and modeling tools.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Ability to work effectively with all levels of management
* Extremely organized and pays strong attention to detail
* Proficiency in advanced Excel, including model building, pivot tables and a working knowledge/ or understanding of business intelligence platforms
* Proficiency in MS PowerPoint
* Skill in translating analytics and statistics to marketing-style presentations and documents
* Interest in publishing a plus

The salary for this position is $65,000-$70,000. We recognize that attracting the best talent is key to our strategy and success as a company. The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
