The chosen applicant will provide support to the group responsible for reviewing and analyzing reports from PBMs including assisting in the creation of the new reports to be filed, and building upon the data collection currently underway. Representative duties of a statistical assistant in the Bureau include, but are not limited to, the following:Compiling and computing data according to statistical formulas for use in statistical analysisAssists in designing and creating the infrastructure necessary to collect information from PBMs relative to reporting requirements, including providing frequent communication and feedback about the likely utility of certain types of informationChecks for data recording errors/ inconsistent reporting of information from PBMsEnters and aggregates data for use in reports, charts, graphs and/or analysesCompile information from PDF and Excel documents to create reports, charts, and graphs that describe and interpret analytic findingsAssists in the presentation of analytic findings to team members on a regular basisPerforms administrative and other related dutiesUsing automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sourcesPerform analysis to assess quality and meaning of dataIdentify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data setsInterpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reportsWork with programmers, engineers, and management heads to identify process improvement opportunities and propose system modificationsOther duties as assignedThe ideal candidate will possess the following experience and competencies:A bachelor's degree and at least one year professional experience in data analytics or a related fieldAbility to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, including ability to convey technical concepts to other disciplinesStrong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organize and analyze dataStrong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracyTechnical proficiency regarding database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentationExperience doing research with publicly available information sourcesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to maintain confidentiality of informationFounded in 1995, IIT is a leading provider of Workforce Solutions to Government and Fortune-1000 organizations.
