This position will work closely with business users and technical teams to ensure the smooth operation of critical data systems and provide technical assistance to end-users. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data engineering principles and experience with relevant technologies.Working within cross-functional teams, the position provides life-cycle support for data and analytics applications, including application maintenance, production support, and on-call support. This role will also involve responding to ad-hoc end-user requests for assistance, troubleshooting application issues, and escalating complex problems to senior technical staff.Essential Functions
- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines for various data sources (e.g., databases, APIs, cloud storage)
- Write efficient Python code for machine learning and AI applications, including data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment
- Build and maintain data warehouses and data lakes to support analytics and reporting needs
- Implement data quality checks and validation procedures to ensure data accuracy and integrity
- Design and implement Business Intelligence Dashboards
- Work with business stakeholders and analysts to analyze requirements and provide technical solutions
- Participate in the overall development process via architecture guidance, design and code reviews, and estimation and planning assistance
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions to business problems
- Create and maintain documentation for data pipelines and related processes
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of data governance policies and procedures
- Troubleshoot data-related issues and provide support to data users
- Perform other related duties as required

- Understanding of data engineering principles and practices
- Knowledge of Python and experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy)
- Proficiency in writing SQL queries and understanding of database concepts
- Experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes
- Familiarity with data pipeline creation and orchestration tools such as Microsoft Synapse or Fabric
- Experience in using visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Oracle Analytics
- Experience with Informatica PowerCenter (or similar ETL tools is a plus)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and presentation skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Minimum Education, Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline

- 4 years of hands-on experience in data engineering or application support
