POSITION SUMMARY: The Jr. Energy Consultant is responsible for travelling to prospect residences to qualify lead prospects and make appointments, in furtherance of making sales of residential solar systems. Jr. Energy Consultant s is expected to participate in each stage of the sales process. Jr. Energy Consultants are outside sales employees paid on a commission basis for sales made by the Jr. Energy Consultant.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Qualify lead prospects and convert them into appointments, and ultimately sales
- Participate in each stage of sales process
- Travel to prospect residences to set and keep sales appointments
- Maintain minimum performance standards
- Attend team meetings
- Maintain responsiveness with prospects and peers
- Maintain a high level of professionalism with both prospects and peers
- Comply with all laws and regulations applicable to the position and the solar industry
- Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Education & Certifications: - High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience: - Some Sales experience preferred but not required
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND ABILITIES - Regularly travel between appointments and prospect visits
- Regularly spend long hours walking, standing, and sitting
- Regularly attend in-person appointments at prospective client residences
- Regularly move from sitting to standing positions effortlessly
- Regularly spend long hours in intense concentration reviewing and analyzing information
- Regularly use hands and fingers to handle, control or feel objects
- Regularly see details of objects that are less than a few feet away
- Regularly speak clearly so listeners can understand
- Regularly understand the speech of another person
- Frequently work on projects that require deadlines
