- Assist in generating detailed proposals for finished millwork/woodwork for commercial and residential projects.
- Reviewing architectural drawings and blueprints.
- Review and define the scope of the Accepted ITB's (Invitation to Bid).
- Outline the scope within Boulder Mills excel bid template including room number, included finishes, and exclusions.
- Prepare and issue RFQ's (Request for Quotes) on Boulder Mills outsources scope items.
- Outline the applicable materials costs in the Boulder Mills excel bid template.
- Assist in maintaining the pipeline bid log document.
- Participate in a weekly Capacity & Bid Review and New ITB Evaluation weekly meetings.
Essential Functions of the Jr. Estimator Jr. Estimator will:
- Proactively manage and update job scope and information to assist in a successful project.
- Communicate with all stakeholders to ensure current information is accurate.
- Participate in project hand off meetings for newly awarded projects to the project management, engineering, and production teams.
- Identify all outsourced items and request quotes in a timely manner.
- Assist in continuously improvement of the Boulder Mill bid template and update with actual costs.
A Boulder Mills Jr. Estimator:
- Understand a projects path and progression.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
- Ability to effectively read architectural drawing and company documentation.
- Ability to communicate and update information as it changes through the project life.
- Ability to learn new types of documentation and its effects on a project.
- Strong knowledge of engineering to help design solutions for potential project related issues that arise.

Preferred Experience:
- Proven experience working independently and in team environment.
- Solid working knowledge of the construction/general contracting sector of business.
- Solid working knowledge of shop production, procedures and challenges.
- Computer knowledge of software to achieve successful projects.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED.
- 1-3 year's experience working in the millwork / cabinet industry. Specifically, division 6 and 12.
