A small and well-established specialized Recruiting Firm located in Laguna Hills is seeking a Jr. Recruiter to join their team. This individual will assist by performing administrative and recruiting support functions, such as reviewing resumes, screening candidates, coordinating interviews and updating the database.This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position with a lot of opportunity to learn and grow as a Recruiter.The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM (with some flexibility) and the starting pay is $23 to $25/hour. This position is fully on-site with no hybrid or remote option. This position is expected to start In November, but there is a possibility of starting sooner on a part-time basis. Training will be provided.Jr. Recruiter Responsibilities (first 3 months):
- Source Candidates
- Review resumes of applicants to determine qualifications for core positions.
- Assist in recruiting top-level professionals and conduct pre-screen phone interviews.
- Conduct business reference checks on prospective candidates.
- Accurately enter new hire and candidate information into the company's database (Bullhorn).
- Keep job postings up to date.
- Learn and understand industry lingo and keywords (Public Sector Civil Engineering)
- On-going projects & other essential tasks as needed.
After 3 months of successful performance, a pay increase can be expected along with additional Responsibilities:
- Writing, editing and publishing job descriptions
- Conducting Virtual interviews (via Zoom)
Jr. Recruiter Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Psychology, HR or related field (Transcripts may be requested for review depending on experience level)
- Previous administrative and/or customer service experience working in a professional office setting
- Previous staffing or recruiting experience is a plus, but not necessary
- Strong Attention to Detail, Research Abilities and Organization skills
- Computer and tech-savvy, proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PDF
- Experience utilizing AI, ChatGPT is a plus, Bullhorn software also a big plus!
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills including being a decisive and confident communicator.
- A Team Player who is self-motivated and driven to succeed with a proactive work approach and solution-focused attitude.
- Skill to type 45+ words per minute.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives without supervision.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $23.00 - $25.00 Per Hour
