Job Description:

Ametros is the nation's largest professional administrator of medical insurance claim settlements. We help individuals manage their ongoing medical care through our CareGuard service and proprietary technology platform. CareGuard provides settlement advisory support, saves our members money on medical expenses, ensures compliance with government reporting, and facilitates the navigation of the complex US healthcare system. The Systems Administrator is primarily responsible for administering and maintaining Ametros' on-prem and cloud infrastructure, systems, and security (20% on-prem / 80% cloud) while serving as an escalation point and providing backfill assistance to the Help Desk as ticket volume requires, in a challenging and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

  • Administration, support, monitoring, and maintenance of hybrid on-prem/cloud infrastructure: Windows Server 2016, Azure, Aruba Switches/APs/Routers, Fortinet Fortigate Firewalls
  • Administration, support, and maintenance of desktop, server, and cloud applications: Microsoft 365, Active Directory (on-prem/Azure), Dynamics 365, SharePoint, Intune, Windows Autopilot, Power Automate, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive, Mimecast, Five9, RingCentral, SRFax, Freshservice, ConnectWise Automate, PRTG, SentinelOne, Fluency, Qualys, Knowbe4, and other industry-specific applications
  • Administer vulnerability scanning and pen test activities for network, systems, databases, cloud services, and performing required remediation tasks
  • Serve as an escalation point and backfill as needed for the Help Desk to assist with providing high-quality end-user support to users working remotely and in our corporate office
  • Automate redundant tasks using PowerShell, Power Automate, and other tools
  • Author and maintain departmental systems of record including documentation, knowledgebase/how-tos, workflow diagrams, and other related content
  • Assist with creation of metrics, reports, and other deliverables
  • Proactively make recommendations for improvements to infrastructure and technological environment
  • Perform other projects as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline (Computer Science, MIS, Information Technology) and/or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years' work experience in a corporate IT environment, preferably in an environment supporting both remote employees and physical office locations
  • Experience with the technology stack mentioned above; proficiency with PowerShell, Python, Batch, and other scripting languages in support of administration and automation is desired
  • Knowledge of and experience with common network, systems, and IT concepts
  • Understanding of privacy and security issues, common frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO, CIS), and best practices consistent with industry compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, PCI)
  • Professional certifications are a plus, but not required
  • Superior interpersonal skills inclusive of a positive, easy-going, people-oriented attitude with an ability to work with users at all levels within the company
  • Intellectual curiosity, excellent problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify root causes and recommend solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate analytical and technical content in an easy-to-understand manner
