AECOM is seeking a Jr. Traffic Engineer to be based in New York, New York. This position is expected to begin in January 2025. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:Perform analytical tasks including traffic data collection and data manipulation. Perform traffic and capacity analysis on roadway networks. Perform traffic analysis on roadway networks using transportation planning/engineering software (HCS, Synchro, simulation, etc.). Prepare written documentation of NEPA/ SEQRA/ CEQRA Transportation results in support of client projects. Prepare written reports and presentations of project findings that support moving projects from concept/preliminary alternatives into design, or document operational enhancements. Builds analytic and design skills. Conducts planning analysis and engineering conceptual design under the supervision of an experienced traffic engineer.
