POSITION: JROTC Assistant Coach - High School
LOCATION: Carson High School
OPEN TO: Employees of Carson City School District and external applicants.

SALARY: 8.0 % licensed salary schedule, step one, Master's Degree column.
NOTE: This position is for the 2023-2024 school year. If you are recommended for hire, you will be required to complete the First Aid/AED/CPR course prior to starting this position. If you currently have a valid First Aid/AED/CPR card, please upload a copy of your certificate with your application.

Possession or ability to possess:
* JROTC Marksmanship Instructor Course (JMIC) or equivalent certificate
A clear understanding of the assignment and its responsibilities, the rules of the sport/JROTC team, knowledge of the Carson City School District Policies and Regulations, as they apply to student activities, including the Code of Ethics; and the ability to develop a self-discipline within participating members that promotes achievement, citizenship and respect. Bi-Lingual preferred. Successful applicants will possess sound, and mature judgment and integrity with strong commitment to working with youth while supervising the maintenance and care of JROTC equipment.
Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen test.
This is a replacement position.
