Job DescriptionThis full-time exempt position is responsible for coordinating the activities of Clay County Drug, DWI and Veteran's Treatment Court. This position will require 40 hours of work per week. Full-time insurance benefits are available with this position. This position has flexible remote work opportunities.Work involves the performance of extensive planning, organizing, coordinating, and monitoring the activities of the treatment court. This position works collaboratively with judges on a wide range of organizational issues such as operational efficiency and internal and external quality assurance. This position monitors and coordinates the case management services within each treatment court and may take part in statewide work groups and/or team meeting to promote best practices, efficiency, and effective operations on a system wide basis.This position may provide assistance to other Treatment Court staff. Work is performed under the day-to-day direction of the treatment court judge and general supervision of the district treatment court supervisor and district administrator following Minnesota statutes, court rules and policies and generally accepted professional guidelines and procedures. - Plans, implements, administers and monitors the day-to-day activities of the treatment court. Serves on Treatment Court teams.
- Directs and maintains an accounting and auditing system with respect to grant funds.
- Data Entry of Drug Tests, Progress in the Program, Incentives, Sanctions and Service Adjustments, Statistics and Performance Measures of participants in the treatment court programs.
- Track incentives, gift cards for the treatment court programs.
- Occur hearings for Treatment Court and prepare orders for the Judge related to treatment court activities.
- Writes grant proposals; plans and prepares budgetary estimates and justifications.
- Coordinates and approves expenditures.
- Organizes and coordinates training for treatment providers and team members.
- Maintains cooperative relationships with treatment agencies, community organizations, the Probation Department, and the Department of Human Services.
- Attends and participates in conferences, meetings and committees as the Treatment Court representative.
- Attends case staffings and court hearings.
- Consults with Treatment Court judges on a wide range of organizational and managerial issues including but not limited to internal and external quality assurance and efficiency.
- Facilitates community presentations, assists in docket development, coordinates community service, promotes team integrity, develops community resources, monitors quality assurance, develops agendas, collects data and works closely with the program evaluator.
- Completes referrals and the standardized adult assessment on all newly sentenced probationers that are placed in Treatment Court.
- May Monitors, initiates and refers clients for UA testing and Drug Court treatment to local agencies.
- Serve as liaison between Probation Officers and Treatment providers.
- Provides guidance and supervision of clients.
- Administers evaluations, reviews client files, and conducts initial screenings in order to identify the nature and severity of substance abuse problems.
- Prepares reports to court, state and county agencies.
- Collaborates with judges, lawyers, police and sheriff to coordinate programs for participants.

- Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work preferably in criminal justice, sociology, psychology, social work, or related field.
- Experience in court systems and/or relevant Treatment Court area required, i.e. working with people affected by chemical dependency and/or mental illness, etc
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Exercise a high degree of judgment, tact, diplomacy and competence in dealing with judges, attorneys, court personnel, treatment providers, law enforcement, community resources and the public.
- Ability to establish rapport with people experiencing alcohol and other drug problems and/or mental health issues. Successful candidate will be required to pass a criminal background check prior to appointment.
- Current judicial branch employees must have satisfactory performance in all competencies in their most recent performance evaluation and no discipline above an oral reprimand in the preceding 6 months.

What You Will EarnThe anticipated starting hourly rate for this position is no less than $31.52 for external hires, with a full future earning potential of $31.52-$48.81 per hour. This position is exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for State of MN employee benefits. Working ConditionsWork is performed primarily in an office setting or a courtroom under the general supervision of district administration and may take work direction from judges following Minnesota statutes, court rules and policies, and generally accepted professional guidelines and procedures.
