Job Description:
Principal Responsibilities: Requirements:
  • Cash receipts and credit card processing
  • Reconciles contract accounts and manages accounts receivable collections
  • Create monthly invoicing with all backup documentation for all contracted grants
  • Prepare payroll data and daily bank deposit before giving to the CFO to review
  • Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations and changes to allocations based on contractual obligations.
  • Assists with the preparation of business activity reports and financial forecasts
  • Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly basis
  • Assist in payments and payroll deductions
  • Record keeping in Quickbooks
  • Provides outside auditors with assistance; gathers necessary account information and documents to perform annual audit
  • Prepares and reconciles monthly budgets as applicable per contracted grant obligations with payroll, accounts payables, accounts receivables and receipts.
  • Responsible for actively communicating and complying with all budget related standard, protocols and policies as outlined by DYCD, and other funders
  • Prepare Consolidated Fiscal Report (CFR) annually for OPWDD and OASAS
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned by the CFO.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
  • Experience using QuickBooks/Microsoft Excel/Word/ and PowerPoint (plus other Accounting software products)
  • Extensive knowledge of payroll functions including preparation, balancing, internal control, and applicable state and federal payroll taxes.
  • Proficient with payroll software; experience with ADP or other related platforms is preferred
  • Demonstrated the ability to conduct and complete work independantly
  • Excels working in a collaborative environment to achieve target objects and outcomes
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to work under pressure
  • Strong problem solving, mathematical skills, and critical thinking skills
  • Willing to take initiative and be flexible when needed
