This position is a great opportunity to work with a small team of like-minded application developers to create powerful, modern, quality solutions that will be used in a wide range of industries. The app development team will be designing, building, and launching new apps to serve employees working in small to medium sized businesses. Yet our apps are flexible enough to be ranging from industries such as manufacturing and engineering, to distributors and supply-chain management, to accounting and finance and much more. This role will require critical thinking skills as well as excellent communication as you partner and support customers and collaborate with the app development team.

The Appward™ platform, patent pending, is a relatively new ecosystem and our company is a startup. We are thrilled to be on this journey, to be developing the next generation low-code, cloud based, novel PaaS platform that will empower and enrich thousands of users to easily build on-the-fly applications with a refreshing experience. And then use and share such powerful custom business applications with the people they work with on day-to-day basis. The platform simplifies and speeds up the creation of sophisticated apps, any App, in an easy and intuitive process. These apps will be tremendously useful for small businesses to run their operations and systems.

Duties unique to this role:

• 80% of your time will be used to design, build, and test business applications within Appward™.
• 20% of your time will be used for writing diverse set of documentation and training (when needed)
• Writes effective, efficient, and easy to read business logic that runs great.
• Wireframes intuitive and great looking UIs and takes those ideas all the way into production.
• Has a good understanding of MSSQL/MySQL and ability to create complex and efficient queries.
• Build responsive mobile versions of our business applications for our customers who are on the go.
• Develops platform-wide applications with appropriate considerations for system stability and useability, both for end-users as well as fellow developers.
• Identifies areas needing improvement from code written by other app developers and has the ability to provide guidance for improvement.

Some more specific duties:

• You'll be building solutions, using Appward™, with user interfaces for almost every app build, so an eye for detail and intuition for simplicity is key. We expect great UX, nothing less.
• Must be customer centric. Always starting with the customer and working backwards. This is critical for success in this position.
• You will be responsible for your projects, deadlines, and quality of the deliverables.
• Use critical and analytical thinking skills to solve problems in creative ways. Develop efficient methods for accomplishing tasks independently and also within a team setting.
• Be able to understand and follow expectations and specifications on product and delivery. Escalate concerns promptly and be ready with proposals to dismantle any roadblocks.
• Be a self-starter and resourceful to lead and make progress in assigned projects in timely manner and at times independently.
• Support user story development. Bounce ideas with your team and share to educate and enrich your colleagues.
• Attending expositions where Appward is exhibiting.
• Collaborating with customers for either support or demonstrating of new rolled out features.
• Creates and contributes to training documentation for Appward users and App developers within the Appward platform using the Articles app.

Qualifications:

• 1 – 2 years of work experience in different industries building software applications.
• Good experience in understanding and executing efficient queries using SQL.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a STEM field with strong inclination towards Software development. Similarly, any equivalent experience in mobile app development or coding bootcamps will be considered.
• Knowledge of MS Office, or similar collaboration tools, to channel communication and work.
• Ability to speak and write in English fluently and idiomatically.
• Have a go-getter and can-do attitude.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with MSSQL preferred.
• Experience developing code for ERP, MRP, CRM or other similar business operations applications.
• +2 years of experience in a role that is customer facing.
