Junior Associate - Employment Law Location: Hybrid (California, Washington D.C., New York, Seattle) Type: Hybrid

Overview:

An AM 100 Law Firm is seeking a Junior Associate with at least 2 years of experience in employment law to join our dynamic Employment Group. With offices across California, Washington D.C., New York, and Seattle, we are a leading technology and life sciences law firm known for our cutting-edge litigation practice.

This position is ideal for candidates who have a strong background in employment law, particularly in advising early to mid-stage start-up companies. You will have the opportunity to engage in both litigation and counseling on a wide variety of employment law issues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise employers on employment law matters, including wage/hour issues, terminations, reductions in force, leaves of absence, workplace investigations, and worker classification assessments.
  • Prepare and review employment agreements and policies, including offer letters, handbooks, compensation plans, and separation agreements.
  • Represent clients in employment law litigation, including single plaintiff and complex cases.
  • Counsel employers on compliance with California state and local employment laws and best practices.
  • Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in employment law, with a focus on both litigation and counseling.
  • Strong understanding of employment law, particularly California state and local laws.
  • Proven litigation skills and experience with various employment law issues, including discrimination, sexual harassment, and wrongful termination.
  • Must be a member of the California Bar.
  • Strong academic background and a business-minded approach to problem-solving.
  • Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary range: $235,000 - $310,000, based on experience, qualifications, and location.
