Job Summary:

As a Junior Buyer, you will assist in the procurement of goods and services for the company, ensuring that products are purchased at the best possible price and quality. You will work closely with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to manage inventory levels, negotiate terms, and maintain efficient procurement processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supplier Management: Assist in identifying, evaluating, and selecting suppliers and vendors. Maintain relationships with current suppliers to ensure timely delivery and work with supplier quality or engineering to resolve any issues.
  • Order Placement: Process purchase orders, track shipments, and ensure accurate and timely delivery of goods. Monitor order status and communicate with suppliers as needed. As Junior Buyer you will handle commodities such as raw material, plastics, paper, and consumables.
  • Negotiation: Support the Senior Buyers in sending supplier scorecards and open order reports to supply base.
  • Data Management: Maintain accurate records of purchases, inventory, and supplier information. Generate reports as required to track procurement activities and performance.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as industry regulations and standards related to procurement and purchasing.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM) a plus.
  • Experience: Previous experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related field is preferred. Internships or coursework in procurement can be beneficial.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and organizational skills. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with procurement software.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Adaptable to a fast-paced work environment.
