Job Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate is someone driven to apply analytical techniques to support business goals. As a Junior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing data while working closely with senior leaders to extract insights through reports and/or visualizations. Key Responsibilities:
Data Collection & Preparation:
- Gather, clean, and organize data from various internal and external sources.
- Assist in maintaining and updating databases and data systems.
- Perform basic data validation and quality checks to ensure data accuracy.
Data Analysis:
- Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify patterns, trends, and insights.
- Assist senior leadership in conducting exploratory data analysis (EDA) and reporting on key business metrics.
- Use statistical methods and tools to support business reporting and decision-making.
Reporting & Visualization:
- Help in the creation of dashboards and reports to visualize data insights using tools such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Assist in the preparation of regular reports for management and various departments.
Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with other teams or departments to understand their data needs and provide accurate insights.
- Assist in developing processes for automating data tasks and workflows.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related field.
Experience:
- Entry-level experience or internship in data analysis or a related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, charts, advanced formulas).
- Basic understanding of SQL for querying databases.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
Technical Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of statistical methods and predictive analytics.
- Familiarity with data manipulation and visualization tools.
- Exposure to programming languages such as Python or R is an advantage.
Soft Skills:
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills with the ability to present data insights clearly.
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Internship or experience in data analysis.
- Familiarity with basic business concepts and understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
