Creighton Manning, a GAI Consultants, Inc. company, is seeking a Junior Engineer (0-2 years of experience) to complement our existing Engineering staff in our Site/Civil, Traffic, Transit, Highway, Structures and Construction Inspection Groups. The successful Junior Engineer candidate will be based out of our Albany, NY office. About This Position: Responsibilities may include, depending on your field of expertise: Field work Traffic engineering and analysis of roadways and signals Structural analysis and design of bridges Design and layout of project components in 2d and 3d Preparing construction drawings and documents Field observation for adherence to construction plans and specifications Report writing and cost estimating Essential Job Duties: Primary data collector in the field. Perform specific portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer. Perform standard computations or basic engineering analysis. Maintain equipment inventory. Attend project meetings with senior staff. Responsible for basic QA/QC tasks; review of own work, as well as reviewing the work of Junior Engineers and Technicians. Provide limited supervision to technicians. Coordination with municipalities/agencies regarding background volumes, accident data, signal timings, etc. Develop and analyze trip generation and volume. Education and Experience: Bachelors degree in engineering from an ABET/EAC accredited program or an approved equivalent. 0-2 years of experience Proficiency with either AutoCAD or Microstation, Inroads, AutoTurn, Synchro, Vissim and GIS software a plus, but not required .
