Chasse Building team is actively looking for a Junior Estimator / Pre-construction to add to our existing preconstruction team. The Estimator is responsible for guiding our Clients through the preconstruction and design phase of construction projects, providing input, coordination and problem solving, at all stages of the design, while maintaining each project's desired program and scope within the cost and schedule constraints.
- Participate in CM@R interviews and other presentations to existing and potential clients. Prepare detailed estimates (conceptual, schematic, design development, construction)
- Perform estimating functions with working knowledge of estimating technology and tools such as OST, Bluebeam, Procore, and BIM related software.
- Proactively identify and solve problems to minimize risk and assure that potential risk factors have been evaluated and reviewed with the leadership team.
- Organize and lead the transition meeting between the preconstruction team and the project operations team.
- Identify new work opportunities and inform leadership team of potential projects with current clients.
- Communicates with architects and consultants to clarify scope of work, materials, and schedule requirements, and documents these clarifications.
- Actively participates in the internal estimate review process.
- Directs, coordinates and provides information and documents to Subcontractors.
- Builds relationships with Subcontractors to obtain competitive advantage for Chasse.
- Review all preliminary estimate packages to ensure accuracy and completeness, prior to formal quotation.
