The Orange Bowl Committee (OBC) policy requires that all interested individuals complete the Junior Host Program Data Collection Form. A resume alone is not sufficient. Individuals will not be considered if all data is not collected. Please note all candidates must be at least 21 years old and will be subject to complete a criminal background screening and drug and alcohol testing. TITLE: Junior Host (Independent Contractor) DEPARTMENT: Events and Team Operations SUPERVISED BY: Manager of Events and Team Operations and Host Committee Chair SUMMARY: Individuals work directly with the Teams, Coaches, Athletic Director, traveling party as well as our Orange Bowl Host Committee during the Orange Bowl Festival. There is a stipend for the position plus reimbursement for work-related expenses. We do cover all hotel room expenses. The opportunity runs from January 7, 2025 (evening check-in) through January 10, 2025 (check-out). ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Assist the Host Committee and Orange Bowl Staff with all functions of hosting the teams in the 2025 College Football Playoff Seminal at the Capital One Orange Bowl
- Provide hospitality services for student-athletes and VIP guests
- Assist with the student-athlete gift suite
- Provide transportation for VIP guests which may include Head Coach, Athletic Director or President
- Assist with various bowl week outings
- Take daily inventory of gifts, hospitality products and equipment
- Interact with Orange Bowl Committee Members, coaches, athletic administrators and student-athletes in a manner that is becoming of the Orange Bowl Committee
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Orange Bowl Host Committee Chairs
- Set-up and keep product inventory, and work in the official party and student-athlete hospitality rooms
- All other duties as assigned by your Host Committee Chair and the Events and Team Operations Manager
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Successful passing of a criminal background screening, alcohol & drug testing and satisfactory driving record history.
- Requires working long hours and some heavy lifting.
- Highly motivated, detailed oriented, knowledgeable of event management and able to handle various tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Note: The stipend for the opportunity is $400 plus reimbursement for work-related expenses.
